Your face is matched on your device and never uploaded. All that leaves is a one-way key — it can't be reversed into a face or a photo. No email required, no account, nothing to breach. The promo gets locked to a human; you stay anonymous to us.

How coupon guard works.

Why can't I just check the email?
Creating a new email address takes 30 seconds. A single motivated person can spin up hundreds in an afternoon and drain your entire promo budget before legitimate customers arrive. Manav ties the claim to the person's biometric identity — which can't be duplicated.
Does this require users to create an account?
No account, no signup, no password. A user proves they're human with a single glance. The one-way key is stored against the promo claim — nothing else is kept.
Does Manav store faces or biometrics?
No. The face is matched on-device and never uploaded. Only a one-way cryptographic key leaves the phone — it cannot be reversed into a face or any identifying information.
What stops someone from using a different phone?
Manav's identity key is derived from the person's face — not the hardware. The same human on a different device produces a key within a matching tolerance, so the "already claimed" check still fires. Buying a new phone doesn't give them a new identity.
What about referral credits and free trials?
Exactly the same mechanism: store the Manav identity key alongside the referral credit or trial flag. One human = one trial, one referral bonus. Multi-account abuse dies instantly.
How long does the verification take?
Under two seconds for a returning user. A first-time user does a quick liveness check — look straight, smile, slight head turn — which takes about five seconds. After that, recognition is instant on any device.
